Rapid is designed as a single layer overlay for application to old bituminous waterproofing membranes.

Rapid offers excellent mechanical properties and dimensional stability and is tested for resistance to UV degradation in accordance with EN 1297.

Manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.

Characteristics

Rapid membranes are reinforced with a non-woven, single strand composite polyester fabric.

The membrane’s extra thick bitumen compound saturates the existing roof membrane, ensuring that there is no risk of blistering due to trapped moisture between layers .

The Rapid system is a quick to install, single layer overlay that does not require the existing roof to be stripped off prior to installation.

The membrane must be fully bonded by torch application to the existing membrane and side laps of 100mm and head laps of 150mm are required.

Only minimal routine maintenance is required.

Overview   

Rapid  is a uniquely formulated, dual-compound APP polymer modified torch-on membrane for use in renovation projects. When torched the special compound on the underside of the membrane melts and flows to form  an exceptional bond with the existing mineral surfaced membrane. This single layer, durable over-roof solution is quick to apply and requires minimal preparation of the substrate, and in most situations no primer is required.
